Lynette has worked on a number of horticultural properties including  a commercial Mushroom Farm, as a Research assistant for Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF), Levin Research Station.  Research technician for DSIR Fruit and Trees, NZ,  Nursery worker for Puketotara Nurseries, and has taught  hydroponic education modules to students, NZ.  Lynette has also been employed as a hydroponic lettuce producer.
