Jeff is an electronics engineer who has spent most of his life working in the electrical/electronics/control industries. Educated in South Africa and then in England, majoring in Electronics and Instrumentation and Control, Jeff went into teaching as Senior Lecturer in Microelectronic Engineering in London. Later Jeff took up the position of Senior Lecturer in Computer Engineering at Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) in New Zealand.
Whilst working there, Jeff learned about hydroponic growing methods and has since devoted much of his life to applying electronic and computer technology to provide cost effective solutions for the hydroponic grower. New Zealand was an early adopter of hydroponics and is still very advanced in this field. This provides an excellent base for Jeff’s work.
Much of Jeff’s innovation, which still continues today, has been commercialised by Autogrow Systems Ltd and is now available world wide. Jeff maintains his interest and passion for education at MIT and through his ongoing role as NETEC coordinator whilst pursuing an every increasing role in R&D at Autogrow. |
